Start as a Pier Rat. End as Fleet Captain.

Crab Haul is a cozy browser incremental about building a crabbing company from a lonely hand line on the pier to boats running nearshore, shelf, and the abyss.

The loop

  • Water — click the hand line, set traps with bait or chum, wait for the soak, then HAUL!
  • Dock — sell your catch, buy gear and licenses, take contracts, spend Legacy Points
  • Fleet — assign automated boats to routes once you make Fleet Captain

Weather rolls through Clear, Rain, and Fog. Traps keep soaking while you're away. When the company's big enough, Sell Company, keep your legacy know-how, and start again on the pier with a better footing.

Career ladder

Pier Rat → Backyard Trapper → Skiff Owner → Commercial Boat → Fleet Captain

Unlock blue, dungeness, stone, snow, and king crabs. Climb from collapsible traps to deep-water rigs. Route the fleet toward faster blue hauls or richer abyss soaks.

what does chum even do

Chum is supposed to +20% haul yield vs basic bait. I’m currently adding a tip line for this.

needing 9000 dollars to unlock the first automatic system is insane

Thanks for the comment, I’m currently rebalancing this!
